HSG Shoulson Scholar Fund Application
The Huntington Study Group (HSG) is an independent research organization that brings together leading Huntington disease (HD) investigators who cooperatively undertake innovative clinical research to develop treatments that make a difference for HD. For over twenty years, the HSG has hosted an annual, internationally recognized forum for training and education of HD researchers and presentation of new findings and treatments.
In honor of HSG’s founder, Dr. Ira Shoulson, the HSG has established the ‘Shoulson Scholar Fund.’ This fund will recognize outstanding junior investigators for promising research in Huntington disease. The annual fund will be awarded in support of recipient travel (travel cost is capped at $500 for travel within North America, and $1200 outside North America) and attendance of the annual HSG meeting, and will cover 2 nights lodging, travel funding, a travel stipend, and a $250 honorarium.
Applicants are asked to submit a CV or Biosketch, a scientific abstract highlighting your research, a letter of support from a mentor, and a brief application letter (250 words or less), expressing their background and interest in HD and the HSG, below.
