Ms. King obtained her nursing training at the University of Alberta. After working as a Public Health Nurse and a Genetic Counsellor in Vermilion, Alberta, she joined the Movement Disorders Program as a Clinical Research Nurse in 1999.
Wayne Martin, MD, FRCPC
Dr. Martin received his undergraduate and medical education from the University of Alberta. After completing a neurology residency at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, he obtained postgraduate research training at Washington University in St. Louis. He then returned to Vancouver to join the University of British Columbia neurology faculty as part of the movement disorders group. In 1990, he returned to the University of Alberta as a Professor in the Division of Neurology and Director of the Movement Disorders Program, a position that he held until October 1, 2014. He remains active in research with particular interests in neuroimaging and in clinical trials of new treatments in movement disorders.
