About Elise Kayson

VP Clinical Trial Operations
Elise has been involved in the care of Huntington’s disease patients and research since the inception of HSG in 1993. Prior to formally joining HSG in January 2022, she played a key role in HSG’s pivotal trials that resulted in the only two FDA-approved drugs for HD while she was at the University of Rochester. Elise has served in multiple HSG leadership positions, including as a member of the Executive Committee, co-chair of HSG’s Credentials Committee, and co-chair of HSG’s Education Committee. In 2016, she was recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award from HSG. Elise has led and managed over 50 clinical trials operationally and administratively for Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and other rare disorders. She is well-versed in clinical trial design, organization and conduct, and regulatory management. She has insights into and appreciation of HD clinical trials from the perspective of study participants, coordinators, investigators, CRO functions, and sponsors.
Fun Fact: “I spend my off time relaxing on my farm with the sheep, chickens, ducks, and a large fruit and vegetable garden.”
