About Jee Bang

Jee Bang, MD, MPH
Elected HSG Investigator
Chair, HSG Provider Education Committee
Johns Hopkins University
A chance encounter with an HD patient while in graduate school so strongly captured Jee’s attention, that she decided to go to medical school to become a neurologist. Things truly came full circle when she became the clinical director of the Johns Hopkins HD Center years later.
Jee joined HSG in 2014, and has become increasingly involved, including being a presenter on intrathecal injections, an instructor in the LP workshops, a member of the Family Day Planning Committee and a speaker in 2021, and a co-moderator for the biomarker session in the 2022 Annual Meeting.
As part of the EMC, she hope to contribute to diversifying, increasing, and strengthening the HSG membership; advancing the initiative to introduce HD early to trainees through formal training courses (ENGAGE-HD); and fostering future HD leaders within HSG.
Fun Fact: “I am from Virginia. A tween book was published that was loosely based on me.”
