About Julia Spears

Associate Clinical Project Manager

Julia Spears joined the staff at the Huntington Study Group in July of 2022, bringing two decades of clinical trial research experience.  In her role as Research Administrator at an academic medical center in the Department of Neurology, Julia participated in over 75 trials in PD and HD from budget development to close-out. She has been an active member of both the Parkinson Study Group and the Huntington Study Group since 2005 and 2012, respectively, serving in multiple committees as chair and colleague. Julia served as the Executive Director for a national Movement Disorders education symposium for 5 years, as well as 12 years for a locally-based Annual PD Symposium. She currently serves as a mentor for clinical research coordinators. Her experience contributes to her current role as a Project manager where she interacts with sites, sponsors, the IRB, and vendors to promote site collaboration and regulatory excellence across HSG studies.  

Fun Fact: When not in front of a computer, I’m a ‘foodie’ who enjoys cooking and dining in all sorts of culinary establishments.”
