About Martha Nance

Martha Nance was born in Nashville, TN, and lived in Indianapolis, IN before attending Phillips Exeter Academy, Yale University, and Medical College of Virginia.  She then moved to Minnesota for neurology residency and genetics fellowship. She became the director of the HDSA Center of Excellence at Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis MN in 1991. She has been involved in HD care, clinical research, and education for over 30 years, and was honored for her commitment to HD and the Huntington Study Group with the HSG’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019. 

Fun Fact: “I was the Indiana state champion in butterfly events (swimming) when I was……ten years old…”
