Project Manager and Contract Administrator

Location: Rochester, NY
Status: Full-Time

The Project Manager and Contract Administrator will assist HSG to: 1) create and manage project schedules, 2) create and/or standardize project management tools and templates for use on HSG initiatives, 3) control and monitor(track) existing contract documents 4) negotiate key contract terms, as appropriate 5) support the planning and execution of HSG events or meetings, and 6) engage/communicate with key stakeholders in HD, including vendors, advocacy groups, HSG leadership, or community members.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Executive Director or Director of Operations:

  • Plan, execute and monitor assigned HSG projects from initiative to closeout to deliver on-time and within established budgets
  • Coordinate contract/amendment delivery, tracking, updates, document control and status reporting (contract dashboard) that contains key contract requirements
  • Schedule and coordinate key project meetings for HSG
  • Maintain communications with project stakeholders
  • Collect and report on project performance metrics to HSG leadership, and to key stakeholders as required by the statement of work
  • Standardize and maintain all necessary HSG project management tools and templates
  • Assist with the organization and execution of the HSG annual meeting and other events
  • Serve as a trusted representative of the HSG reputation and adhere to the highest ethical standards in support of our mission and those affected by Huntington disease
  • Perform all other duties and tasks, as assigned by HSG management.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in a related area and/or equivalent related experience
  • Experience with Event Planning a plus
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time with ease
  • Show creativity and attention to detail in assigned projects
  • Have a proven track record of successful delivery on deadline driven projects
  • Be motivated to help a population affected by the symptoms of Huntington disease
  • Have effective communication skills, a positive attitude, excellent writing skills, and be able to work well on a small team
  • Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Be comfortable working in a nonprofit organization setting
